Office Manager and Bookkeeping Assistant

We are a small team of creative people who manage 2 great brands from our office/warehouse in Leith, Edinburgh. We’re not an average business and we don’t want to be. We’re young, vibrant, creative and fun.

We’re looking for a new person to join our team to help keep our office running smoothly. You'll top up our snack box, organise fun events for our team and manage our paperwork and in-house bookkeeping. The role will cover a range of tasks from managing office procurement to ensuring our paperwork is filed correctly and that our invoices are paid promptly.

We want someone who is organised, has an attention to detail and likes to get things tidied up and squared away.

This is a part time role and will stay a part time role. Please don't apply if you want it to lead to a full time position. Maybe you're a parent and can only work during school times, or you have another project/role that occupies your other time. We're flexibile on when you work - we can work something out that fits both your and our schedules.

Responsibilities will include

Office Manager

  • Manage office procurement of supplies and consumables
  • Manage utility providers - gas, electricity, internet etc
  • Manage cleaner and contractors
  • Ensuring office is kept organised, tidy and that our team has everything they need
  • Organising staff events
  • Opening mail and dealing with as required

Bookkeeping Assistant

  • Assisting our bookkeeper with in-house paperwork
  • Ensuring invoices and receipts are processed correctly
  • Managing paperwork and filing of documents

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate

  • Experience in helping to manage an office environment
  • Experience with bookkeeping
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Numerical analysis skills including familiarity with Excel
  • Good team work and willingness to help others

The successful candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, a problem solver and able to use their initiative.

Location: Leith, Edinburgh
Hours: 12-20 hours per week during our office times - Mon-Fri, 8:30-5:00
Salary: £16,000-22,000 pro rata dependent on experience
