We’re The Tartan Blanket Co, an online retail brand based in the artistic hub of Edinburgh. We’re not an average business and we don’t want to be. We’re creative, young, vibrant and fun! We have a very exciting opening for a creative and forward thinking PR Coordinator to join our expanding Marketing team with the opportunity to work remotely.

 

Responsibilities will include

  • PR Outreach
    • Developing an effective PR strategy
    • Managing communication with press and journalists to promote our brand
    • Actively pursuing press opportunities
    • Nurturing press relationships
    • Managing press samples
    • Writing press releases
    • Growing sales through press exposure
    • Increasing brand visibility
    • Collecting & analysing relevant data
    • Utilising PR tools, apps and websites 

 

  • Digital Marketing
    • Contributing to the implementation of our overarching marketing strategy 
    • Assist with the generation and development of creative ideas
    • Assist with copywriting for use across press releases, website listings and social media
    • Supporting marketing team with coordination of events & product launches where necessary.
    • Liaise with brands, influencers & designers on collaborations



The successful Candidate will be able to demonstrate

  • Previous PR experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A well organized and detail orientated work style
  • The ability to be assertive & comfortable reaching out to new contacts
  • An ability to build relationships and network comfortably
  • The ability to think both creatively and strategically
  • A knowledge of SEO 
  • Highly competent IT skills
  • A motivated and outgoing personality
  • Good team work and willingness to help others
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and execute work to a high standard

 

The successful candidate will be creative, motivated, enthusiastic and able to use their initiative. Previous PR experience is essential within this role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in marketing & PR to have a large and varied role in a fast-growing company with the opportunity to work remotely.

Details:

Location: Remote working available, must be able to travel to Edinburgh when required, minimum once per month.

Hours: 37.5hrs per week, 8.30-5pm Mon-Fri

Salary: Dependent on experience
